“ Why do I have to go to school?”

Introduction
“ Why do I have to go to school?” This is a common question which a lot of students as. The reason why they ask that question was because they don’t have truly believe and understand of the importance of education. Someone might ask “ why education is important, and how’s that related to me?” Then I will answer you it’s because Education impacts on human development and economic growth, and it’s a fundamental requirement for democracy. Education was the natural response of early civilization to struggle of surviving and thriving as a culture .If you that’s not reasonable enough, then I could explain the answer farther more, by dividing the question into three major sections. Which are how education affects our society, how education different in different cultural, and the difference between people who have education and the one who don’t. I believe after you finish reading this report, you will have more clearly and better understanding of what is education and why it’s important.
How education effect our society
Education provides people with tools and knowledge they need to understand participate in today’s world. It’s something which people value because it opens new horizons, extends freedom and creates opportunities.
How education effects the economic development? How is it allows people to be more productive, to play a greater role in economic life, and to earn a better living? According to my Internet research an adult with a primary education earns twice as much as an adult without any schooling. Farming practices can be improved through basic education; In Uganda, four years of primary education raise a farmer’s output by 7%. Which proves education is an essential for economic development, it’s the foundation for knowledge and skills that are necessary to participate in and benefit from globalization and technological change.
Education is a basic human right; it makes democracy possible. It gives people opportunity to stand up for their self to have voice in politics and society. It also provides people with knowledge and awareness needed to promote tolerance and understanding among people. According to the Internet research in Bangladesh, women with secondary education are three times more likely to attend a political meeting than the women with no education. Which proves education can make democracy possible by creating a demand to be heard and enhancing people’s ability to influence decision, which affects their life.
To help you better understand; think the relationship between education and society like a chains that connect. High education equals more choice equals better job eauals more money equals more power equals have affection in the society. That was just for the individual. Have you ever wander why in U.S.A, why the government pays people to go to school? And encourage that every citizen have to be at least guaduate high school? And how that related to the economy and higher life quality of the country? Think this why, when the percentage of education level increase the more income the country can get. Which can provide the society higher technology and better welfare; which raise the higher quality of people's life. That why, a lot of country are so carious about education. And highly educated countries are usually wealthy and strong.
Education in different cultural
The history of education is both long and short, it’s either begun million years ago or the end of 1770. Education was the natural response of early civilization to the struggle of surviving and thriving as a culture. Adult trained the young of their society in the knowledge and skill they would need to master and eventually pass on; such as story telling it continued from one generation to the next.
Why do we have school? Where did the Earliest School begin? Think this way when cultures began to extend their knowledge beyond the basic skill of communicating, tracing, gathering food, religious practice, etc, formal education and schooling, eventually followed. Schooling in this sense was already in place in Egypt between 3000 and 500 BC.
All right, now take a brief look at the early history of education in different culture and compare them. Europe: Schooling begins since medieval period. Most of the school found upon religious principle. Between 17 and 18 centuries education in Europe became significantly more wide spread. Japan: The origin educations in Japan are closely related to religion. Schoolings was conducted at temples for youngest who want to study Buddhism and to became priest. India: India has a long history of organized education, and was dedicated to the highest ideal of all round human development. The Gurukul system of education is one of the oldest on earth. Gurukul were traditional Hindu residential school of learning. Education was reached in teacher’s house or a monastery, and it’s for free.
China: Education in China began not with organized religion. It’s based upon reading of classical Chinese text, developed during western Zhou period. The examination was established the Han Dynasty for selecting officials. It continues use for 2000 years, until the end of Qing Dynasty. In 1911 education was abolished in favor of western education method.
In today’s world Basic education is consider important. You need the skills, because it’s necessary to function in society.
People with education, people who don’t
Education promote the ability of household to manage health problem. Improve nutrition and childcare and plan for the future. It’s the one of the most effective weapons against HIV/AID and other diseases. It helps the living condition and environmental protection. It’s the foundation for gain knowledge and skill necessary to participate in and benefit from globalization and technological change.
In the past history and even now people have discrimination upon gender; people think is not important for woman to attend school. That not true! I’ll prove to you by compare women with education and women without education and see the difference. Children of mother who have been to school are healthier, better nourished and more likely to attend and succeed in school than children of mother who has never gone to school. Education women marry later, have fewer children and receive better prenatial care. In Bangladesh women with a secondary education are 3 tomes more likely to attend a political meeting than woman with no education. A mother is a very important figure, she ‘s the role model of the children, so her behavior is important, and higher educated people are more likely to have better behavior. It proves it’s as important as for woman to have education as man.
Have you ever wonder why some counties are rich and some countries are poor. Poor countries equal poor people why? Because poor countries usually less access to education; and education is important, it provides poor people with the knowledge needed to increase their choices of earning a livelihood and to raise their living standards. And it’s a great leveler. An adult with a primary education earn twice as much as an adult without any schooling.
Primary document
My primary document was the summary of “ The Diary of Ma Yan” The reader’s response to the book and why this book was highly recommended. The story is about the struggles and hopes of a Chinese schoolgirl. Who wanted to over come her impoverished life; Because of the extremely poor natural condition, this thirteen-year-old girl had to struggle desperately for her life, especially for her education. Because of her stubborn spirit she’ able to over come her difficulties and her dreams and hopes come true. This book ifs highly recommended weather you’re in poor condition or well-off condition because [if you are in a condition as poor as Ma Yen; It will definitely give you strengths to fight the difficulties. If you are in a well off condition far beyond Ma Yan’s imagination. It will cause you to cherish what you have now.] The dairy was published in French 2002 and immediately became a best seller. So far the book has been translated into five languages. It’s recommended for all kid above 10 or above fifth grade to read. In my opinion this book should be highly recommended for all schools, was because it helps you better understand the importance of education in one’s life. Gives you different perspectives, different taste of education in different country and different background. To understand the value of education and self compare to the book. After finish reading, it might help students more clearly understand why they come to school. It might change the ways how students view and think about school; and be more appreciates the school, education and what they have now.
Conclusion
Through out the research, I had learn and gained a lot of information, but it's never enough, the learning is endless. You could always go more deeply and deeply if you want to. There are too many perspectives and possibilities and too many ways you can find the answers. A Big question can develop a count less smaller question. As you go more deeply, the more question is form it endless. Of course I still have a lot questions and things that I want to discover to understand and learn more about. The conclusion I came up for education is: education is railroads ride you towards better life.
Education is passages that cause the civilization.
Education is the key opens the door of success.
Education is the wing that gives people freedom.
